I grew up B.I.C. (that's Born in the Covenant), meaning I was a proud member of The Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Born and raised. My church heritage, important to all members, includes
several well known members including notable church historians. Though my family is very
proud of our heritage, they do not know: Although my ancestors were labeled Defenders-of-the-Faith,
they frequently and fervently expressed doubts as to the veracity of the Church's most important book of
scripture, The Book of Mormon. Doubting is in my blood.
